Scott works closely with our Management team to ensure the smooth day to day running of BLS.

He has held a number of roles over the years, starting out as a Warehouse Assistant while studying (unloading containers and dispatching orders) through to his current position. In the years in between, he lived in Europe for almost 10 years working in a number of industries including Banking and Human Resources.

When not at work Scott enjoys the outdoors and is a keen mountain biker, runner and snowboarder plus he likes to spend time travelling with his wife Michelle, socialising and expanding his record collection.

He really enjoys dealing with our diverse range of fantastic customers, many of whom have been with the business for decades. Their evolving needs keep him on his toes and challenge him to continue improving. He finds the sustained growth both motivating and extremely satisfying.

Akeelah is our Operations Manager by day, and a full-time wife and mother by night. With over 5 years’ experience in warehousing, she brings a range of different leadership skills and traits to the table, which have improved our warehouse management and procedures.

With great passion, her goal was to move up the ladder and learn how each department functions. Today, she is proud to have fulfilled much of this goal with BL Stringer. Starting off as a Storeperson, being promoted to Warehouse 2IC, and now stands to be our Operations Manager, all within a year.

Her outgoing personality and positive presence bring an awesome atmosphere to the team. She looks forward to many more years of experience and growth within her role.

Gayle is our credit manager that follows up and helps customers with payments.

Rod has spent all his life working in textiles. From sweeping warehouse floors, through to founding and successfully running his own textile manufacturing business, and everything in between.

I’ve always been a very customer centric person and as a result, has forged lasting friendships with many of his customers over the years.

His guiding principle in sales is, “if we can assist our customers to prosper, we will prosper”.

In his spare time you can usually find Rod tending his garden, relaxing at a café with his partner Nee, or following all types of competitive sports.

Nitin’s journey of 30 plus years in textiles is an exceptional blend of dedication, passion, expertise & growth. He has worked for some of the largest and globally renowned Textile manufacturers including Trident Group in India.

His deep understanding of raw materials to finished products has allowed him to navigate the complexities of manufacturing and consistently deliver high quality products for New Zealand Hospitality & Healthcare Textiles catered through leading commercial laundries for Hospitals Hotel chains, Boutique lodges and Motels since 2012.

It was not just only about textiles but also about relationships, cultivated with customers and suppliers.

Of course he loves his cricket and a proud + loyal black caps supporter, and plays for Howick & Auckland over 50s majors, treasure’s Zeus  his second son a Labrador retriever, walks and travel with his wife Sarika balancing his career with personal interests.

Rika has over 10 years  experience in management and sales. She has always been passionate about providing an exceptional customer experience with her clients. Establishing relationships, fostering trust and loyalty by understanding her clients needs and delivering effective tailored solutions. She is extremely motivated to succeed and advance her career with Bl Stringer and look forward to many years together.

Out of work time she enjoys spending time with family. She has three children that she is very proud of, who are all keen boating and camping enthusiasts and love to travel when they can.  

Roneil is originally from Fiji but grew up in New Zealand. He has held several roles over the years, starting out as a Trade Assistant before relocating to Australia. He has had great experiences in the tourism, construction, and mining industries before becoming a PT & strength/conditioning coach for 4 years helping clients recover from injuries and providing a personal training service. He got into warehousing after this which he has stayed in for 8 years while still doing PT as a part-time business. He bring years of customer service and management skills to BL Stringer.

When not at work Roneil loves powerlifting, mountain biking, hiking, running, playing squash/tennis with his dad, travelling, and eating pizzas. 

Catalina is a results focused professional with over 20 years of experience in operations, commercialisation, supply chain, procurement and product development, she establishes and maintains high standards of excellence and commitment to business growth.  

With strong commercial acumen, organisational, planning and time management skills, Catalina came on board with proven record of delivering excellent solutions and services within businesses.  

She offers strategic direction to Purchasing Department regarding, but not limited to sourcing, building supplier portfolio, negotiation, costing guidance, ordering, and optimising expenditures in the department to a distinct level offering continuous improvement, maximising resources, and providing solutions to challenging situations. 

Excellent structured communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop strong and trusted relationships with customers, business partners and stakeholders. 

A key team player and leader, great communicator with people from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds.

Caleb is a high performing, people-focused individual bringing a wealth of knowledge from 28 years' experience in Procurement ranging across the I.T, Automotive and Scientific Research sectors in New Zealand and the UK. 

Previously working for brands such as BMW in the private sector, working with Government procurement contracts in the UK, and being a founding director of several companies himself, Caleb has always enjoyed keeping busy and involved. He brings a vast amount of experience from business directorship to overseeing operational delivery teams, procurement, project management, and building and fostering a high engagement culture.  

Having developed strong resilience and having the determination and perseverance to work through complex scenarios to deliver results. With highly developed stakeholder engagement capability, he understands the true value of relationships and achieving desired outcomes. Caleb excels at investigating, analysis and sourcing of new products and product development for our clients. 

 A keen traveller Caleb enjoys exploring new places and adding to his list of visited places.

With over 11 years of dedicated experience, Amin is serving as a results-oriented Purchasing Officer and his career focuses centres on optimising procurement practices.

His expertise spans vendor evaluation, contract negotiation, and inventory optimisation. He showcases resilience and decisive problem-solving abilities to ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

He manages supplier directories, negotiates favourable terms, and fosters efficient collaboration. As a Procurement Officer, he optimises stock levels and applies strategic negotiation techniques for local suppliers.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in business management and currently pursuing a Diploma in Procurement and Supply at CIPS and committed to continuous learning and is dedicated to driving success in every aspect of procurement operations.

Being in the profession for over a decade, Nathrisia started her career in Procurement and Purchasing working in different industries (namely, Plantation, Retail, Dairy, etc.).

She values professional relationships, especially with the people she works with internally and externally.

She has a passion for optimizing purchasing processes and driving efficiencies. Her background encompasses strategic purchasing, inventory management, transportation coordination and distribution logistics.

Juggling both purchasing and logistics in her role, she works closely with cross-functional teams to align purchasing and logistics strategies in the organization. Whether it’s improving order fulfilment processes, reducing transit times, or enhancing warehouse efficiency, she is dedicated to delivering results that drive operational excellence and customers satisfactions.

Despite already holding a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Nathrisia believes in lifelong learning and currently working on her Diploma in Procurement and Supply with Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply.

Off the clock, you would find Nathrisia enjoys hiking for waterfalls and camping around Aotearoa.

Anne is the voice at the end of the phone when you call BL Stringer, she has been with the company for too many years in her Customer Services role.

When not at BLS, Anne spends time with her two Golden Retrievers, Speights and Hudson. Speights comes into work most Fridays to hang out. 

Pauline assists with general administration and brings many years of Customer Service experience and freight knowledge to her role.

When not at BLS, Pauline enjoys spending time with her family, attending concerts and going to various sporting events.

Clare assists with general admin, website enquires and customer orders. She has been with the company since 2017.  

In her spare time, she enjoys watching sports, baking, gardening & reading.

With over 20 years experience in marketing, Will works to grow the BL Stringer brand as an advocate for our customers. His fascination with emerging technology, attention to detail, and focus on process make him effective in a rapidly evolving environment. 

He has a successful track record of marketing iconic Kiwi brands to New Zealand and the world, with experience in the manufacturing, technology, and professional services industries.

He’s often found hiking in the hills around Canterbury, and is a life-long basketball fan. A self-described nerd, he loves comics, games, and obscure movies. He’s always working on something creative, be it writing, video or art.

Our fantastic Continence Nurse & Educator Janet Thackray is available for training & assessment sessions plus free continence advice. Janet is passionate about improving the lives of patients with incontinence & has 20+ years of experience as a continence nurse.

Garry, originally from Punjab India, relocated to New Zealand in 2013. With a background in hospitality and the warehouse industry, he embraced part-time involvement in ecommerce and US stock exchange.

He is a versatile professional with a keen interest in diverse industries.

Jonathan strives to deliver his best work each day, from the moment he finishes one task to the start of the next. He thrives on keeping himself engaged and occupied, finding fulfillment in the simple joys of productivity. Whether working independently or collaborating with others, Jonathan enjoys the dopamine rush that comes from accomplishing goals. He values simplicity and is content to navigate various avenues to achieve success. Embracing his individuality, he seeks environments where he is valued and accepted, and BL Stringer is undoubtedly one of those welcoming spaces for him.

Rob brings many years of customer service and management experience having spent 20 years in the hospitality sector before trying his hand in manufacturing and enforcement.

When not at BLS Rob enjoys spending time with his family, watching theatre, various sports and exploring the world.

Vaisak is a passionate individual driving positive change, seizing opportunities, and navigating life with relentless determination. 

British by birth but grew up in New Zealand, Jacob has an appreciation for the rural lifestyle, along with all of the adventures and opportunities to explore here.

Sound technician turned Warehouse superstar, he excels in finding innovative solutions to technical problems.

Mark has worked in different businesses over the years and is looking forward to contributing to BL Stringers continued success. 

In his spare time he has hobbies in which he likes to participate in.

Yongxia bringing years of seamstress expertise from China to BLStringer, she extends her sewing skills to deliver excellent services, meeting diverse customer needs effectively. 

Detail-oriented and adaptable, excelling in fast-paced environments, she is dedicated to enhancing operational efficiency and contributing to logistic success when working as a storeperson. 

In her spare time, she enjoys doing some handy jobs and growing vegetables. She also loves traveling.
